VILLAGE HALL IMPROVEMENTS
DURING THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN WE ARE DELIGHTED TO SAY THAT WE HAVE HAD THE VILLAGE HALL ROOF REPAIRED AND A NEW CENTRAL HEATING BOILER INSTALLED. Read on for more news.
THE WHOLE STAMFORDHAM PLAYING FIELD & VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS SIGNED UP TO THE COVENANT SCHEME, MADE A DONATION OR SUPPORTED ANY OF OUR FUNDRAISING EVENTS.
AS A DIRECT RESULT OF YOUR GENEROSITY WE WERE ABLE TO INSTALL NEW LED LIGHTING ALL AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF THE VILLAGE HALL EARLIER THIS YEAR. IT IS MOVEMENT SENSITIVE AND IS PROVIDING MUCH IMPROVED LIGHTING IN THE CAR PARK AND DOORWAYS AS WELL AS ROUND THE BACK AND SIDE OF THE HALL. The change to LED lighting will help us to reduce both our electricity bills and carbon footprint.
As part of the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) refurbishment, and with the grant from LEADER, CCTV has been installed and is now live. Together with the improved lighting around the hall and new LED floodlights on the games area (also funded by the LEADER grant), we will have a safer place for our younger residents to spend time together.
WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT, HAVING BEEN AWARDED A GRANT FROM THE SIR JAMES KNOTT TRUST, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INSTALL A NEW CENTRAL HEATING BOILER AND CONTROL SYSTEM IN MAY.
IN ADDITION, WE HAVE BEEN AWARDED A GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND WHICH WILL ENABLE US TO COMPLETELY RE-FURBISH THE MAIN HALL TOILET FACILITIES AND ALSO PROVIDE BABY CHANGING IN OUR ACCESSIBLE TOILET – WATCH THIS SPACE FOR PROGRESS ON THE PROJECT. IT IS HOPED TO GET ALL THE WORK DONE DURING AUGUST 2020, Covid-19 restrictions allowing and subject to our preferred bidder being back at work. Toilet facilities will still be available near the West Room of the Village Hall when work is in progress.
